What is OUR work?

It serves as a great reminder of what OUR work is in the process of renewing our nation and world. I've been thinking about this a lot lately as we draw near the end of the semester. We are planning a summer retreat were we can spend some time thinking about our role in addressing issues related to citizenship and social responsibility. What does it mean to be in higher education? What does it mean to be a faculty member? or a student? or a university staff member that commits his or her time to the education of a generation?
I'm not crazy enough to imagine that I can answer these questions alone, but I do think that they are right questions to be asking now. I look forward to our growing together at WKU. Something amazing might just happen!
